That is the difference. The cross-back harness spreads the load through two adjustable straps that pull from the shoulders, so a long cook session does not turn into a sore neck. No strap digging in. No constant readjusting. You put it on and forget it is there until the fire is out.
Full-length coverage and a reinforced waist belt lock the fit in. The front utility pocket keeps your thermometer, gloves, or knife within reach. Solid brass rivets and heavy-duty buckles are built to outlast the apron itself.

A True Limited Run
The first production of The Forge is 30 pieces. Fifteen in deep brown, fifteen in matte black. That is the entire run. Each one is hand-cut and finished, and when a color sells through, it is gone until the next production. This is not manufactured scarcity. It is the reality of building real leather gear in small batches.

Care
Wipe clean with a dry cloth after each cook. Condition with a quality leather balm two to three times a year. The marks it picks up along the way are part of the build.
